United Lutherie Website Design

unitedlutherie

My husband Denny is a guitar fanatic.  He loves playing guitar and perfecting his sound and tone.  He also has a passion for repairing guitars and making them play “just right”.  When we moved to Ohio he sought out some place where he could learn more about repairing and making guitars.  And he found United Lutherie.  He’s taken several lessons down in Athens, Ohio and when they needed a website designed, they remembered that Denny’s wife does that.  We’ve spent a couple of months getting the design just right and finally unveiled the site last night.  There are a few things left to do, but that is the beauty of the web.  You can always keep updating.  Check out the whole site here.

all that jazz 2009

I’ve been designing for the Tubman African American Museum for almost 14 years, and each year I come up with a new look for their premier fund raising event “All That Jazz”.  This year’s theme is “An American in Paris”.  If you live in Middle Georgia, buy a ticket and go dance the night away.  If you’d like to see some of my other designs for the Tubman Museum, visit my design portfolio.

Blackberries

Mary and Mary Claire show me their raspberries.

At the beginning of the fall season, my friend Mary and I took are children to a local farm in Yellow Springs to pick raspberries and see the pumpkins.  That was one of the last weeks of warm weather…and it was a warm one that day.  We had such fun wrangling our kids and picking raspberries and blackberries.  I was happy I brought along my big camera so that we could do our planned photo shoot  in the neighboring sunflower field….I ended up with a lot of wonderful shots from our whole day.

biz card FINAL

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with my friend Christy on building an image for her photography business.  I developed a logo and a business card, as well as backgrounds for her website and blog.  I enjoyed coming up with a look to match her fantastic natural light photography and help her promote her business.
